selling our patience for perfection

patience is something that has been very valuable to us these past few weeks. perfection is perceptual, and to us, it means selling our patience for it to fully portray our creative ideas that we have slowly conjured in our minds for melou. unfortunate events impeding our launch date is the culprit to our delay. yet, with our meticulous personalities and our knack for hard work, we say screw the launch date, we're not settling or compromising our ideas for a quick buck. we admit, the path has not been a delighted road with candy cane trees, fluffy marshmallow clouds and gum drop flowers guiding our way. rather, it has been a tough journey constantly thinking of ways to jump over hurdles and work through obstacles. 

 watching our work grow from the inception of the idea to the tangible building blocks is a rewarding and self gratifying experience. with that said, we will continue to sell our patience until we have fully built the store we believe is perfect. meanwhile, here is a sneak peak of whats to come in the near future.

closet's hidden treasures

the other day i took on the task of cleaning out my closet and happened to stumble on an old romper.(love when this happens)

i purchased this at a local vintage store a few years back, before the romper made a come-back this past spring.

now... add the fall season staples of tights and/or socks + fur coat, and it can definitely stick around for the rest of the year!

on another happy note, melissa and i can't thank enough all the people involved with our final pre-launch photoshoot production...

this video of the lovely anna dello russo left us, well, quite speechless. wearing outfits right off the runway is her trademark (we can only dream to have that luxury) and she looks amazing in them. the fashion director of vogue nippon, just keeps looking better after every look. and her closet? it speaks for itself...

yes folks, we have added more goodies to the inventory including furs, coats, and jackets, fit for the fall/winter season ahead!

we both decided to have a little dress up fun with melou's newly found friends--fur coat #1, (black rabbit fur with satin lining)  and fur coat #2 (khaki colored rabbit fur, with 100% satin lining and a front zipper closure) and figured you all would love a little sneak preview of what is to come in november's launch, exhibited by yours truly...

its been a long while..........

so its been a long while since we've posted, in part by the numerous demands life has for us in lieu of working hard on melou. here's a bit of an update. since we've last posted, we managed to collect many many many new amazing items to add to the store. we are very excited with our findings, and can't wait to share it. also, we are working very closely with our dear friend and amazing designer faby who will be doing a collection for melou. we are also working on finding one of a kind designers that guarantees authenticity in style. that just about wraps up our updates. meanwhile, if you haven't done so yet check out our video from the shoot,  a new one is on its way as well, so keep a lookout for that.
